Gathering is pleased to announce Christelle Oyiri’s solo show, Run it Back, on view 29 April – 15 June 2026 at Gathering London. Run it Back is an immersive installation of sound, light and movement that revives the memory of forgotten pioneers of club culture and explores the relationship between the body and technology.

The multimedia experimental project is a continuation of works developed for Oyiri’s inaugural Infinities Commission at Tate Modern in London. Projected on the wall is a film that shows footage referencing flashbacks from the artist’s childhood, spliced with found digital imagery of cosmetic surgery, historical artworks and cartoons. Six cast bronze sculptures are mounted on top of speakers, which act as plinths. The sculptures metamorphose a female figure into different states of transformation. With these works, Run it Back cultivates an environment in which the past, technology and human experiences all intertwine in one pulsating rhythm.
